Friends of Huellitas de Acero Dog Rescue Support Foundation

Friends of Huellitas de Acero Dog Rescue Support Foundation is a federally incorporated Canadian nonprofit organization.

This nonprofit was created to expand the reach of Huellitas de Acero A.C. — the dog rescue shelter in Puerto Escondido, Mexico — so that even more dogs can be saved, healed, and loved.

Our purpose is simple: support the rescue, care, rehabilitation, and adoption of abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs by providing financial, logistical, and other assistance to Huellitas de Acero A.C. in Puerto Escondido.

We also help facilitate the placement of rescued dogs into safe, permanent, loving homes — wherever in the world those homes may be.

Every dollar donated to Friends of Huellitas goes directly toward:

🐾 Rescuing dogs off the streets of Puerto Escondido
🏥 Medical care — surgeries, medications, vaccinations, and vet visits
🍖 Food and daily care for 130+ dogs at any given time
🏠 Shelter maintenance and safe living conditions
✈️ Facilitating adoptions — locally and internationally

Huellitas de Acero A.C. runs entirely on donations and volunteer love. There is no government funding. No grants. Just people like you, choosing to make a difference.

Note: Unfortunately we do not yet have ‘charitable status’, so are unable to issue tax receipts at this time. This is a goal we are working towards.
